The SAC aims to make our arts community stronger by  forging strong connections between all forms of arts and the public.

Who we are

The Commission is made up of Saugerties residents, all of whom are deeply connected to various art forms and believe that the arts play a vital and formative role in society and in our town.

What we do

The Saugerties Arts Commission believes that the arts are integral to a healthy society and vital for the enrichment of its residents.  Home to a diverse array of artists, arts organizations and supporters of the arts, the SAC intends to promote opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the rich cultural life of the town through visual, performing, media, decorative, applied, and literary arts.  The SAC is a committee of the Saugerties Town Board.

    We meet on the last Friday of each month at 11am. Meetings are open to the public and due to COVID-19 they are currently being held via zoom.  Send an email for information on joining a meeting
